During a 40-year Extension career, Sue Fisher provided program leadership in Expressive Arts, Programs for Younger Children, 4-H Expanded Food and Nutrition, Camping and Environmental Education, International, Communications, and Program Planning and Management. With her leadership, 4-H was enhanced through application of youth development research, 4-H participation included a growing number of diverse youth from both urban and rural areas, and the 4-H experience was enriched through expanded public/private program partnerships. In retirement, service to youth through 4-H has continued with 4-H positions at the University of Minnesota and National 4-H Council and as a Trustee of the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation.
Major 4-H Efforts: Wisconsin 4-H member 8 years. Extension positions in Minnesota, New York and USDA as 4-H Interim Deputy Administrator in 1992. State and national program committees included ECOP 4-H Subcommittee, National 4-H Foundation and National 4-H Council Boards of Trustees, and National 4-H Program Outcomes Committee.
