Dr. Russell Mawby began his 4-H career as a member in Kent County, MI. His life has spanned all levels of 4-H work: member, volunteer, departmental specialist (Purdue University and Michigan State University), State Leader for Michigan 4-H Youth Development, Trustee for Michigan 4-H Foundation, National 4-H Foundation Board Member and Trustee for International 4-H Youth For Understanding. Dr. Mawby is Chairman Emeritus and former C.E.O. of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. During his tenure with Kellogg (1965-1995) he helped to bring 4-H to Norway and established many grants and programs that have moved 4-H into the 21st century as a strong and viable youth development program worldwide.
