Omer G. Voss

    One of the founders of National 4-H Council, Omer G. Voss was appointed National 4-H Council’ first Board of Trustees Chairman in 1976 after playing a crucial role in the merger of National 4-H Service Committee and National 4-H Foundation. In 1974, Voss, a member of the Service Committee Board since 1967, was appointed to the Joint Committee on Organization and Operation, which addressed the issues surrounding the merger. As Service Committee President in 1975, Voss led the transition of the two organizations into what became the National 4-H Council.
