Dr. Linda Webb was a dedicated 10 year 4-H member and 27-year Extension professional. She became Valley Co. Extension Agent for home economics and 4-H in 1980. In 1999 Linda became the UI 4-H specialist for volunteer and leadership development and Executive Director of the 4-H Endowment Board. She led a major campaign that increased the endowment fund by $1 million. Linda chaired the team and was co-author and editor for the national ” Up to Leadership” curriculum – one of the first to focus on youth leadership skills. She led development of the ID 4-H volunteer screening and child protection policy and created a handbook and video ” Child Abuse: Care Enough to Call.” that won the 2006 NAE4-HA video award.
A dedicated IAE4-HA and NAE4-HA member, Linda co-chaired the 1991 national meeting in Arizona, the first involving the entire region in conducting the conference. While Linda served as NAE4-HA President in 1994-95, the national board completed an organizational transformation process. One result was the hiring of a paid Executive Director. Serving on JCEP as NAE4-HA past president, Linda was part of the group that proposed a Galaxy Conference. In the early 2000′, she served 3 years on the ECOP programs committee. Since her retirement, she continues to serve on the ID Endowment Board and as President since 2010. She’ actively involved in the latest $2 million campaign, guiding the board to more effective, long term fund development.
