Kenneth C. Lovejoy, more commonly known to Maine 4-H families, staff, and supporters as “K.C.”, provided more than 63 years of working service to Maine 4-H – as one of the first three 4-H agents in Maine, a State 4-H Club Leader, and for 27 years as a post-retirement, highly-successful volunteer Executive Director of Maine’ Pine Tree State 4-H Foundation. K.C. donated 100% his time to run the growing foundation. K.C. is now 96 years old, lives in Florida with his wife Mabel, and remains a 4-H enthusiast.

When asked why he had made such a commitment to the 4-H program, K.C. replied, “What more effective way can a person expend retirement years than to volunteer expertise and enthusiasm to further the cause of youth in his chosen field?”
