Kenneth Anderson’s 4-H career spans nearly 70 years as a Member, Volunteer Leader, County Extension Agent, and State 4-H Staffer-all in South Dakota-and at the National 4-H Service Committee, where he began work in 1938. Anderson gave voice to the Extension Agent’ perspective during the merger of the National 4-H Service Committee and National 4-H Foundation into National 4-H Council. Appointed President of the Inter-American Rural Youth Committee in 1964, Anderson built a foundation and history for what is now 4-H IFYE. Anderson retired from National 4-H Council in 1978 and volunteered for Arizona 4-H Foundation until his death in 1992.
