Arthur J. ‘Jim’ Faul was born in 1910 in Canada. In 1928 his family homesteaded on what became the Millstone Ranch. Mary was born in 1924 and raised and educated in Texas. She was a librarian in El Paso. After 6 years in WW II, Jim returned to the farming operation. On his way home, they met at a train station. After nine years they marriage in 1954, and they flourished as a team for 52 years until Jim’s passing in 2007. Mary, at 93 years, still sets the direction for the farming operation.
With helping children succeed in life, they often said that all 4-Her’s were their children. Jim and Mary supported dozens of organizations, but Pinal County 4-H and the Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation are two of their favorites. The Fauls began hosting an annual event at the County Fair for 4-H families, donors and supporters in 2001 when the Faul 4-H Learning Center was dedicated to Pinal County 4-H for the small stock program. The partnership with the Faul Ag-Ventures program teaches agriculture to over 5,000 children each year.
Since 1987 they’ve helped more than 350 young people succeed through several scholarship programs, and the Faul’s have remembered the Pinal County 4-H Camp in their estate. Jim was an honest salt-of-the-earth person who had a heart of gold. Mary exemplifies high integrity and demonstrates dreaming big and finding success! Together, they have made the best better!
