H.T. Hardy has served his community in all facets – family, church, business and civic. He is a board member and elder of his church and active in the local and district men’s associations. He is Past President of the Kentucky LP Gas Association, a supporter and donor to the Kentucky State Leaders Council and Friends of Kentucky 4-H, Inc. H.T. was an original member of the Bluegrass Baseball Semi-pro League and a WWII veteran.
H.T. served on the boards of local banks, the school board and the Farm Bureau, and is a member of Kiwanis and Lions Club. H.T. Hardy has been involved in 4-H in many ways for over 65 years. H.T. has touched the lives of many people in his community, including many current doctors, lawyers, teachers, businesspersons and farmers in Estill Co. Many of them, including his own children, are now involved 4-H because of his influence. He is truly a leader of leaders.
