Gene attended Purdue University, where he received a Bachelor’ degree and a Ph.D. Gene received a Master’ degree from Cornell University. Gene has served several organizations in the agribusiness field, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, the Farm Credit Administration, and the Farm Credit Bank of Baltimore.
Gene has served as president of, and remains active in, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, in which he originally became involved as an undergraduate at Purdue. Gene and his wife, Sharon, currently reside in Sparks, Maryland. They have one son, two daughters and two grandsons.
