When I think of the power of 4-H in youth development, I believe EVERY young person should be invited and welcomed into the program. This program can mold experiences that create learning and development regardless of cultural, ethnic, or racial differences among participants. Think of where our American society could be if every young person was engaged in 4-H experiences over at least 4 years! This 4-H program, when done right, builds leaders for tomorrow’s challenges and needs. The most important lessons learned often happen with disappointment. It might be a flaw in your project or simply the judge choosing other projects over yours.
