Darrel Thomas

It was through 4-H, that I gained a foundation for myself to benefit, grow and thrive in life. I was guided by the four “H’s”, head, heart, hands, and health as I worked towards my goals. As a 4-H member, I learned the basics of self-confidence, leadership and teamwork. As an educator, my job was to focus on the 4-H kids. It was important to me to educate, encourage and champion thousands of 4-H members about life skills, working hard and achieving the 4-H motto “To Make the Best Better”. As I look at my former 4-H members, I’m proud of the well-rounded citizens they have become. 4-H is also a good time.
